On the Labrador site facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/theLabradorSite?fref=nf http://blog.fido4ever.com/new-study-shows-dog-kisses-may-be-actually-good-for-you/ Hah! You see, all that time I saved not training Charlie not to lick people has paid off!
Re: Yay! Ear licks! Juno loves to kiss people. One of her favourite occupations is to start giving me a wash just after I've had a shower and dressed. Obviously don't smell of Juno at that time.

Except when they've been eating fish. Or poo.
Juno loves to kiss people. And if you dare to use moisturiser, it's twice as vigorous. :

I keep a pack in the hall and just issue them to my visitors once Charlie has made sure they are clean enough to be in his house. Then everyone is happy....
Re: Yay! Ear licks! Who? Charlie or Monty? There isn't much I can say that is great about Charlie's behaviour (although he is the most fabulous dog generally) but not eating any form of poo (the very, very odd snaffle of horse poo excepted) is something I'm grateful for....

Re: Yay! Ear licks!
I have only good things to say about kisses from Charlie
He's been saving yours up.... ;D ;D ;D Must get down to deliver them...
Re: Yay! Ear licks! Mine only seem interested in eating goat poo for now. There was a LOT on our walk this evening. Even so, I can't help but be enamoured with their desperate efforts to lick my face. Yes, it grosses me out, but the cuteness overrides that somewhat
I had a start the other day while in the shower, door open, Maisie running loose (I've been testing her uncrated/penned during showers recently). I was washing my hair and then EEEK! something licked my leg! Maisie had stuck her head in to have a taste… The worst is when she tries to clean out your ear wax. Eurggggh that feeling.
We went through a spell where Bella would bark mercilessly at the bathroom door if she heard the shower, so she was allowed in...and yes, what started as leg licking : Ended up with chocolate puppy enjoying the warm rain with mommy ;D ;D ;D Honestly, I think she liked the toweling off afterwards more than the shower...but the trend only lasted about a week - then she lost interest. : : :
Re: Yay! Ear licks! Willow was the same. She enjoyed popping in when she was really little, and really loved being blowdried afterwards! She's not interested in the slightest now, though. Shadow has always been a bit trepidatious with it, although he did put his nose in a couple of days ago to see what it was all about. He was not impressed.
Re: Yay! Ear licks! milly has always given us lots of kisses and reguarlly washes both ears for both of us
Re: Yay! Ear licks! You only have to bend down to put your shoes on in our house and Charlie gives you a free face and ear clean.... : ;D ;D
Re: Yay! Ear licks! I can only wish! If I bend down to tie my shoelaces, Monty tries to pierce my ears!
