    Hey Everyone,

My 7 month old pup is producing a few droplets of yellow discharge from his bits, I noticed some spots of staining on our sofa throw.

I'll get him to the vets on Monday but does anyone know if it's just a urine infection and if there is anything I can do to help?

He is fine in himself except for a bit more licking of his bits than normal.

All my three boys have had this preputial discharge and it can be quite normal in young dogs, this was the reason I had them castrated as it immediately cleared up after the op.

Yes, if he is still intact, it sounds like a young boy growing up. :)

At nearly two, my intact boy doesn't "leak" anymore. Not like as when he was becoming an adolescent, anyway...

If you don't think it's "that" though, definitely check with the vet.

My boy has had this, he is 2 1/2 now and is beginning to be less noticeable. Every time we were at the vet for general check up I asked her about it. She said it was normal but if it got worse or changed colour then to bring him in.

We had the same and it all stopped when he was neutered at 13 months x
