Xena is 13 weeks today and weighs 11.5 kg, which is exactly what she weighed at 12 weeks. I've reduced her kibble allowance this week (I can see her waist again!) so that probably explains it. Here's a photo of her this evening ASLEEP ON THE SOFA! Yay, I have a sofa dog!
Xena really is a beauty! To be honest though, at her age I wouldn't worry so much about seeing a waist or not, however, if her poos were getting a little loose, (not attributed to a food change/scavenging) then I would consider reducing or splitting her meals.
Bailey is 5 months old today and had another trip to vets today for his flea treatment - he weighed in at 17.45kgs - he is a slim, leggy boy at the moment, I cant wait to see what size he will be when fully grown and neither can the nurses at our vets - they are running a book on it!
Bear is now 20 weeks and weighs 26.4kg. I measured his height at the withers today, it was 53cm (I would love to hear how that compares with others). Looking back in the posts, it was a bit of a shock to be reminded that just 6 weeks ago he was 43cm. I graphed his weight and he seems to be plateauing a little bit, which is a good thing as he was really going through a huge growth spurt. The funny thing is, his paws are still too big for him, he is supposed to be growing into them, but they seem as out of proportion as they have ever been. I miss the younger Bear, where everything was new, but I have to admit he is starting to show some of his maturity now, and I am liking what I am seeing a lot (he is becoming a real people dog). Thanks again to all those who posted weights this week!! Cheers, Cameron
Ted was weighed at the vets today. 8.1kg at 11 weeks and one day. Haven't a clue whether that is the norm. Vet seemed untroubled. I've heard about problems weighing a puppy on home scales. My brilliant wife suggested I get on the scales, check my weight, then do the same while carrying Ted. The difference is his weight.
We do Quinn's weekly weigh-in like this (I have been tracking her weight since we got her). It has been off only by ounces from the vet's scale.
Xena is 14 weeks today and 12kg. I think she looks good but it'll be good to hear what the vet has to say on Wednesday.
Axel is 31 weeks and is 35.6kg officially bigger than the vets guess for full grown weight of 32kg he still has knobby legs so I'm guessing still growing ? He's 25 inches at the withers now too
Oh my, he is huge! Look out Pongo (@Rosie) your record could be in trouble! Not sure how long they're classed as puppies (4 years maybe ) but Ella is 15 months and 26kgs. She's been this weight since she turned 12 months so I think she's starting to level out. I'll check her height soon but she's currently fast asleep on me
Oh wow! Yes, another big boy.... Pongo is delighted, he is getting a complex about his size. (His nickname at home is TinyLittleAndrexPuppy just to make him feel better...). Pongo's two and a half years now and has levelled out (at last!) at 41kg or so.
Bear only had a 700g gain this week, his body has finally decided it should slow down and join the graph. He is 21 weeks old and weighed in at 27kg Here is an updated graph Thank you everyone again for your data this week, @Kelsey&Axel thanks for measuring Axel's height, Bear will need to grow 1cm a week at the withers to catch up to Axel
I saw those recent photos of Pongo on that walk. Oh my! I knew he was huge by his weight but to actually see him I was shocked were his parents really big as well?
I don't think they were quite as big as Pongo! But his breeder does focus on breeding "old fashioned" (her words) labradors, she describes them as "solid". Well Pongo is certainly solid......
I finally checked Ella's height. So, she's 15.5months, 59cm tall and 26kgs. Do you think she'll grow much more now or will that be it? I've noticed that she's not bum high anymore and her back is much straighter (she used to have a bit of a dip in the middle) so maybe that indicates something?
