With regards people he knows, Coco ONLY jumps up if invited (OH pats his own chest & up jumps Coco) - I spent a long time when he was new turning and ignoring the jumping. His usual with strangers is "ignore them" UNLESS they speak to him (or me) then he will jump up at them, all over them - I have to pull him off

This morning, we were walking long a long, straight road & I could see 2 work men up ahead. Coco was keen to get to them so it took a bit of stop/start, but we reached them eventually. They spoke to me AND him, Coco went to to jump and a quiet "off" from me with a twitch of his lead and there he was, 4 paws on the ground, tail wagging and sniffing the men as the cooed over him and stroked him. No further attempts at jumping :)

He tried to get in the back of the open van, but hey - maybe their lunch was in there.
