Just back from the vet with Willow. She somehow cut her leg open, only a small cut but quite deep. I can only imagine it was on some sharp ice.
She was big and brave while she had it stitched and bandaged up. Poor girl!

She then found a tennis ball, which she's been holding onto ever since. She's slowly nodding off, but she doesn't want to let it go! :D

Thanks! She seems completely unbothered by it, which is amazing considering how much of a drama queen she normally is (remembering the histrionics we had a couple of months back when she got tree sap on her bum...). She's on twice daily antibiotics, which means extra ham, sausage, cheese, pate or whatever comes to hand. She's happy with this arrangement!

When you're a princess like Willow you can be as much of a drama queen as you want

Hope it heals quickly in time to play with her new baby sister :)

Stitches will be taken out in the UK the day before we go and pick up the new puppy. More sausage for Willow :D

Amazing the injuries a girl can put up with if there's sausage, ham, cheese and sundry other goodies available to assist the healing process ;)

I'm not really sure because I was at the head end while he was doing the sutures and didn't think to ask. My guess is three or four. I'll be changing the dressing on Sunday (if it doesn't get too disgusting before) so I'll count then.
