Re: Rawhide chews The hedgehog thingies are vegetarian. Chepi had one over Christmas and enjoyed the chew and ate it all. I was going to buy some but thought I would see if there was any feedback here. Apparently they have no artificial preservatives.

Re: Rawhide chews Mine each had half a fresh (frozen) pig ear at lunchtime today. Lasted them about thirty minutes and they absolutely loved them. You butcher may be able to give you some for free - I can't imagine they would be a product that was worth a lot in the UK? They cost money here, albeit they're very cheap, because people use them in cooking all the time

Re: Rawhide chews I have never tried buying a fresh pig's ear....waitrose express by the tube on my way home don't stock them (I checked....). I gave Charlie a dried pig's ear once. It was very greasy and gave him explosive runny poo! He gets dried venison ears, which are fine but last him about a microsecond...
