Greetings, our 18-month old back field lab Teddie is in her 2nd heat...she appears to be more tired than usual. She has been a very active high energy puppy since day one . Still will go on good walks in the woods, fetch , etc....appetite has change a bit as well in that she's not hovering her food when put down for her. Are we just experiencing her transition into a young calmer audial dog or is low energy part of the heat cycle?
This sounds like part of her season to me... but as always, if in doubt, a quick call to the vet will set your mind at rest My experience is that whenever I think a pup is settling down and getting more grown up... they turn around the next week and prove me wrong
