My female black lab who is a little over a year old won’t stop chewing and destroying things. She’s chewed up many beds, she’s eaten a few of our cactus plants, and just yesterday she had torn a hole in our pool cover.

Beds not in her crate she usually leaves alone but she tends to chew the beds in her crate. Day one that I got her I kennel/crate trained her because I planned on her being my travel buddy. So I’m not sure why she’s chewing the beds in her crates.

She knows to stay away from the gardens so why she chewed these multiple cactus I’m not sure either.

Duchess has her own pool and knows the larger one is off limits and we haven’t had a problem with her and our pool but yesterday morning she decided to chew a hole through the cover.

I’m at a loss because all the training we do I feel like we take a step forward and then five steps backwards and my fiancé hates my dog.

Any help or ideas on new training techniques would be appreciated!
