I'm thinking that Edsel will move right on into the "10 month crazies" without me ever noticing! He has more energy than any dog I've ever seen! Will run, retrieve, swim, hunt or just run around mad barking his head off until he just collapses. For a very brief respite! That makes him sound quite out of control, but that's not the case. Many of his activities are full of purpose and he is learning things at an astonishing rate. Just never gets tired....I do. ;)

Stepping up the dog's mental activity helps :) Training tricks or new exercises gets their brains working and takes the edge off. I think that often this kind of behaviour is related to boredom. I know it is in my dog who has a high requirement for entertainment :)

What are some low fat treat options for labbys? Milos currently On a diet cause he got a wee bit chubby and would like to train with the best treats :)

Couldn't agree more. If Molly doesn't get 2 good walks and a couple of training sessions a day she is unbearable.

Keep them exhausted I say. Why should I be the only one :D

Well naturally Milo would want only the best :)

Drier beef liver is very low fat, and dried sprats are healthy (they have some fat but good fat). Probably the key is using really tiny pieces of food - as small as your little fingernail or smaller. E..g if you were using hot dogs of frankfurts you'd slice them 1mm thick. You could make an egg omelette and once cool cut it up in tiny squares. Some dogs like little pieces of apple.

Also, cut out an extra quantity of his normal food to compensate for the treats :)

    Hi Keely,
There is some info in the Technical & help section about posting photos.
You need to put your photos into a photo-hosting site such as Flickr or Photobucket for instance. Then you copy and paste the links into your post.
Check out this post here about how to post from Flickr - hope that helps.

Thanks Jacqui, I checked out the tech help, and it seems relatively easy. I hope this works :/
If it does this is my fur baby Milo, we we're enjoying some afternoon sun with his favourite toy in the entire world, his squeaky kong bone.

A big hello from me and my 10 month old bundle of trouble! Buddy's big problem has been chasing cows and pretending to be deaf when I call him. You are not alone!
