We have 2 puppies 19 weeks old KC registered and probably should only have taken the one as its clear that they are only interested in themselves and the male doesn't want to walk out without the other, should i rehome one before its too late Its a last resort but is it better in the interest of the dog Training is not happening as they just want to play
Hello, I had 2 Newfies years ago, unintentionally. They were 6 months apart. Anyhow, I was very naïve back then, years ago. They were so close it was difficult to train them as you need to have lots of time to take them out and train individually. I would not do it again. If you have time having siblings can work, but needs some planning and patience. There is a member on here who may chime in who ended up with siblings. I think some breeders don't let 2 pups go to the same home because of these issues. I think it all boils down to the time you have available to train them individually as together they wont listen...rather like my twin sons....
I have bred a few litters over the years, but never sold more than one puppy to the same family. It's sad that you are in this position. You can make it work if you put the time in to train them separate. But if you are going to rehome one, better now than later.
