4 weeks after elbow dysplasia op.

    my 3 year old still limping 4 weeks post op, vet said op was successful but the limp appears the same anyone had this with their lab.

    These are all good questions for the surgeon that will be doing the procedure and I am sure they would be happy to answer them for you. Pain management after the surgery is usually pretty good, with the dogs getting strong pain medication for a few days to a week. Dogs that I have seen have elbow surgeries seem to get around just fine after a couple weeks. In addition to doing the arthroscopy, you can also Speed Test look into a surgeon that is trained to do a Canine Unicompartmental Elbow (CUE) procedure to create part of an artificial joint.
