Blimey, you should get that dog some therapy for his chronic hydrophobia!
He was bouncing around a bit ,did he seem ok afterwards? when you get a bit more shade on the garden try it on the grass then he's on a soft surface.I had to use the clicker to get Dexter into his paddling pool! Sympathies with the heat,we are getting battered now in Dubai x

Dexter, his limp hasn't ever seemed to make him appear in distress, I still have to kind of look for it. After this I do think it became a bit more obvious. But still never seems to slow him down. I think part of his freak out was just pent up energy from the last week or so.

I started out trying it in the grass but there was too much of a slope. I will have to put something under it (in the grass) to even it out, but I agree too hard on him to jump around like that on the ground. I didn't know this would be his reaction to it! (First time to use it). But I didn't like seeing him do that so we have put it away for now. I really did not know how to calm him down. He was running around the yard, jumping in and out, running from me, just losing his mind!

I was hoping he would just sort of chill out in it with all this heat. Didn't know he would lose all control!

Lovely to see him enjoying it so much, but I suspect you'd rather hoped he would just lie down in it?!

Bless - it was all a bit much for him wasn't it :) Don't envy you the intense heat, but over here we're always a bit jealous of the sunshine!

He looks very excited! I'd say he loves it.

You'll probably find he'll calm down around it as he gets used to it - putting it on the grass would be better. But you also need to make the bottom of it non slip - he's slipping on the plastic surface. Perhaps with non slip paint or by gluing something in the bottom (although not sure what would survive the digging).

Oh what a lovely time Myles was having his own paddling pool for fun. Juno was jumping in and out of hers like that when she first had it but has calmed down as we've just left it out for her so she can dip in and out when she wants and retrieve toys.

    He he.
Lovely fun. Lilly just uses her like a large water bowl unless we use bribery.

He obviously loved it . Harley calmed down after a week of having her paddling pool out - she occasionally 'digs' and water goes everywhere, but usually paddles on drops balls into it to retrieve.

Tess jumps in to our children's water table and digs in it just like that!
