This is the third attempt at posting, I just got all lumpy earlier. You've made a brave and responsible decision in these awful circumstances. No dog could ask for more from their owner. I just hope all these wishes and kind thoughts will help you feel the warm hugs so many of us want to give you.
I am crying. For the puppy, for your family and for the Breeder. Sometimes things go horribly wrong in a litter and every Breeder prays that it doesn't and every puppy family prays that it doesn't. Knowing when to put him down is going to be so hard after reading your description of him, BUT, you will know it. I have no other words. Hugs.
I held him and scratched behind his ears, told him what a good boy he is, to go sniff and find himself a big bully stick. That my other digs are out there somewhere for him to run with - one for fun and trouble, one who will teach and protect him. Over and over until the horrible moment I felt him go. The vet cried too. Bye all, keep loving your dogs, I will be back someday when we are finished grieving and ready for another companion in our lives.
Bye from Caspar and me. Huge respect for sharing this with us. We hope to see you again soon. Take care of yourselves. You did the bravest thing for your furbaby.
I cried huge tears for you and your puppy. Sending you lots and lots of love. Run free beautiful boy. Xx
Tears here for you, lots of them. What you have done is so incredibly brave, the kindest act. Be kind to yourself, will be thinking of you in the days to come.
