    I'm after some advice pease!
We have an 8 month old black lab called Barkley. He is our first dog and bought in lockdown. I guess we're experiencing a lot of the typical lock down dog issues (not really socialised with other dogs, no puppy classes etc) but my main issue with Barkley is stone chewing...
We have a garden with a lot of stones in the beds (far too many to remove) and Barkley is obsessed! He'll play with us out there for a while, running after toys etc, but soon get distracted and go and pick up a stone and start chewing it. I don't think he swallows any (I'm not 100% sure and that's my biggest concern) but I assume this is bad for his teeth! He will drop for a treat or if I close the door and pretend to ignore him, but if I left him outside he'd lay on the grass and happily chew for ages! He has a million other dog safe chews etc, I can't understand why he does this?
    Any advice gratefully received!

My puppy is 17 weeks and she eats EVERYTHING outside! Sticks, rocks, mulch, dirt, grass...she even pulled my dead tree out of the ground to chew on a branch!

mice been teaching her “leave it” since I got her but it’s a constant battle and she doesn’t seem to get it. I’d be interested in advice too! I’m worried she’s going to eat something harmful if I don’t catch her fast enough.

    Hi Both.

Leave is good, if you can pull it off teaching them that food comes from you alone is better.
