It seems like our lab puppy just wants my husband. She won't listen to me at all and it is very frustrating. She is a dream for my husband but just wants to bite me. Also I have an older dog who wants nothing to do with the pup. I want this to work. Any suggestions?
Hi. Have you tried giving the pup treats whenever she comes near you? Do you give her her meals or does your husband? Do you do any training or fun games with her? What do you do if she tries bite you? Tell us a bit more about her and your other dog Your older dog will get used to her, just make sure he has a place he can escape to for some peace and quiet. Puppies can be a bit bouncy for older dogs, but I am sure that given time they will become firm friends
Hi. In what way does the pup not listen to you? I always think a young pup is in the same class as a young baby. Would you expect a young baby to listen to you? It takes time to build s relationship and feeding, playing and training will help.
