just want to say hello to all you good people, it is 3 month since my brother sadly past away :'( i am grieving at the moment, it is hard times, winning the competition did me a world of good, thank you all for voting the level of competitors was amazing, well done to all who took the time to post photos jasper as kept me 100 % focused, he is an amazing little guy, he loves to please, as most of you know he is my first dog, oh my word how i have struggled, at times i thought i would of had to throw the towel in and give up the total recall as been my hardest task, it took me 10 month to perfect it, thank you pippa without your book i would not of been able to have succeeded with this very difficult task, i would like to thank all of the moderators for answering all of my questions, a big thank you to kate, who as had to put up with all my private messages and emails you have been a star kate xxx jasper is 18 month old this week, gee wizz i have 3 children and 2 grand children wow they was easy compared to how hard this lil guy ass been ;D i feel so proud to announce that i have got a near perfect family pet, every day he gets better, he as been my rock, training is on going, we have dare i say it an almost half decent heel walk a very very long way to go he adores children and other dogs, loves to play loves to swim and loves to please without this forum i would not of done it alone, a big thank you to you all xxx
Re: a big thank you I am sure that Jasper has been a great giver of cuddles and licks during the very difficult time that you've had since your brother passed away I am glad that he has been there to help. You've got a good dog, there, Lynne, but you have done such a great job that I think you need to give yourself credit for it. People can advise, but only you can do And, wow, Jasper is 18 months already!

I'm glad you've had him through this difficult time. I hope you start to feel a little better as the days go by...one day at a time. Hang in there!

I am sure Jasper, your children and grandchildren are all a huge comfort to you, despite your sadness. A big pat on the back to you about Jasper, you have done a super job with him. Xx

They listen like nobody else and they are a reason to get on with everyday things which eventually helps. Time makes things easier even though we never forget we learn to live with it but a dog helps even more. Take care Lynne and keep us posted. x

Re: a big thank you From someone who was afraid of dogs to the person you are now, deserves much admiration for what you have achieved. If only the majority of dog owners were as conscientious as you, there wouldn't be so many dogs in rescue imho. I am very sorry about your brother which must have been such a painful shock, but pleased that Jasper has helped you so much.
Re: a big thank you Lynne, sorry about your brother, our dogs are such a great comfort to us. My hubby died 7 years ago this year and I don't know what I would have done without meg. She gave me a purpose to get up each morning and I could talk to her, rant and rave, and she would just cuddle up to me. You're doing well.
