In that one, J had walked up the path a way and then called them, do they were racing towards him! It's amazing how fast they can run, but you have to be careful they don't stop suddenly!
They are really sweet... Unless you happen to be a rabbit, of course Any updates on the love-struck pointer?
Not many rabbits in Andorra - I'd love to have worked them, but the chances of bumping into a marmot are a little too high for my liking! She's being kept in, and I can hear her barking and howling on and off. The house is about a kilometre away, but sound travels really far here. Poor Shadow gets a bit distressed when he can hear her, and whines and barks along. He's in good spirits for the most part, though, thankfully. I'll be glad once it's all over!
I bet you will! Very interested about the ferrets though - marmots are pretty big, though vegetarians - would they be dangerous for the ferrets?
Definitely. They're huge and would easily kill a ferret. Rabbits can kill ferrets, so a marmot would have no problem. In general, the rabbits aren't killed by the ferrets, they are scared by them and run out of their warren into bags set by the hunter. But, if a ferret corners one, they will fight their way out. Another reason not to have my little girls down the holes with the nasty rodents! My two are rather dainty as far as ferrets go, although they're pretty feisty. They weigh around 700g and 800g each. The boys easily reach 2.5kg and more
