I am in a group on Facebook and at the moment they are celebrating dogs gone to the rainbow bridge. I have spent the last week constantly at the tissue box. I was bad enough when our faithful bunny was PTS. And another page is celebrating dogs that have overcome hardship in some way. I'm a big sop I have decided.. That's a special connection. [/quote] It's true - she gained a lot through being with him. He gave her companionship, love and protection. She was a dreadful pest to him, poor old boy, but he was so very kind to her and put up with all her puppyish boisterousness. She is a more nervy character than he was - but I think his gentle calmness helped to steady her, too. The other half took this photo - I'd never seen it before the weekend. What a joy to find it!
