6 year old female spayed yellow.
ear infections, yeast overgrowth, raw elbows, red sores on chin and hair loss around eyes. All the common things that labs are plagued with .BUT SHE DOES NOT ITCH .Has anyone ever seen this . we have checked her thyroid and tried the food eliminations .we have ran antibiotics to help clean her up and take care of the secondary infections staph and strep . we are so frustrated and slowly going broke . the only thing we have not done is the very expensive and unreliable allergy test on her . the one where they check and create a serum for her.If our dog was scratching and tearing herself apart with discomfort we would probably do the test but she is perfectly content . Does anyone have any advise.

I really feel for you. This must be frustrating and upsetting for you.
When you did the food eliminations, what were you feeding her?

When you fed raw, what did you feed?

Have you tried an anti allergy medication?
You can give dogs Benadryl (ask the vet for dosage)
Also Toby is on Piriton as part of his cancer treatment.
He no longer has discharge from his eyes after sleeping. Might be a coincidence but a very cheap drug so may be worth a try.

Is it worth you trying a different protein?

I would try the raw again as 5labs suggests but stick to just a one ingredient food. It won't be a balanced diet but you don't need to feed it for very long to see if it's working. Then you can add a second ingredient and so on. Try to feed pure chicken/lamb etc.

The other thing to consider, is whether you or anyone near you, including public land - is using lawn chemicals or weed killers. And even laundry detergents, plug in air-fresheners, and essentially everything the dog is exposed to.

But she does not itch or show any allergy symptoms.
