We've taken Homer with us on our winter holiday. We found these lovely apartments which are very dog friendly, there is a lovely Swis Mountain Dog who keeps guard at the reception desk. We are on the third floor but the lift doesn't bother him. It's funny how quickly he adapted and knows the way 'home'. After a morning walk he stays in the apartment while we do a couple of hours skiing (enough for me), then a longer walk and play in the snow in the afternoon.

The town is dog friendly, he's been welcome into a couple of bars and coffee shops, dogs and people ride for free on the busses so we catch a bus to the edge of the town for an off lead dog romp in the snow. There is a bit of a problem with people generally not picking up after their dogs in the Main Street, especially as there hasn't been much free for snow to cover up any mess left behind.

Really pleased to see that Homer is enjoying his winter holiday. France is usually dog friendly, particularly in holiday areas. From experience dogs can get a better welcome than their owners . As you've discovered though they are not very good generally about picking up poop :(

    Oh WoW!
Sounds like a very impressive holiday break - are you staying over Christmas too?

We are here for two weeks, Christmas and New Year. Fun in the snow has certainly made up for the long drive in the car.
