    LOL ;D

Honestly when I read 'wearing lab coats ' I actually thought why does Barbara think we'd be dressing up as Labradors to do experiments ? Then I got it. Duh ::)

    Clare's reply so funny ;D ;D

I think I found the hedgehogs/crocodile in our local pet shop. I couldn't find the link to see if they are the same? Anyway, I froze it, and kept her busy while I made some calls.

Well, Anco roots get a thumbs up from Charlie. He has settled down with one for a good chew this morning. Gets me over his mad hour before his first walk, anyway.

They are softer than nylabones and antlers, I think. More large stick consistency, without the splintery bits. They are very dry when they arrive, so don't quite pass the thumb nail test. But Jen is right, they are like rawhide and the bit they are chewing goes softer quickly. I think I'm pretty happy with them. I bought the extra large. Charlie goes quite mad to chew wood, so they seem perfect for him.

Glad Charlie likes the root Julie.

That's when I give mine the roots to chew to keep them occupied first thing or they get up to mischief.

Our two are still going strong after two weeks. Still not much difference in size Just look a bit worn around the edges. Even less bits are coming off now.

Although they are expensive it's now at about 50p a day with plenty of chewing still in them. They will definitely last longer than antlers which are a similar price and I feel much happier with them chewing on the roots.
