Great to see you again Emily @Emily_BabbelHund That video is hilarious - Harley has certainly worked out how to open the lids
I had a lovely evening with the Beanwood crew - many thanks to Kate, her OH, Benson, Casper and Bramble. No photos as I was too busy fending off at least two dogs at once. At one point Benson had his whole tongue (or it felt like it) in my ear while Bramble had her whole tongue (or it felt like it) in my mouth. And all I wanted was a cuddle! I really appreciated the @Beanwood hospitality and it was a perfect bookend to my first night of the Labratour two and a half months ago when Remy the Giant and Intimidating sat on my lap. Tomorrow evening I'll be heading under the channel to Calais and then Sunday the long drive from Calais to Regensburg. I've got a lot to contemplate and even quite a few more photos to share, so while the Labratour isn't over, certainly Labratour Part II is winding up. What will I do with myself? Otherwise it was a decidedly un-doggie day in Bath, though I did manage to find a very nifty little dog store and buy yet more dog stuff. The downside was the conversation with the cashier which went a bit like this.. Cashier - So what kind of dog do you have? Me - Well, um... I don't really have a dog. Cashier (looks down at pile of dog stuff i'm buying) - OK. Awkward silence ensues, then... Me (feeling like I want to crawl under the dog bed display) - I'm sure I'll have one soon. Cashier (now squinting at me like I'm a potential dog abductor) - Riiiiight. Scene of awkward dog-themed binge buying... Plus a fun dog toy/soft puzzle at Orvis... And then just a walk around town and the baths...
Laughing at your shop story, hehe. Next time please pretend that you have an imaginary dog because that’d garner an even better reaction. Also, lovely pics!!!
Shoplifting! I’ve had to part with cash on occasion when I had not gone into the store for treats! I am sure the tasty treats are put right there at nose height to tempt the innocent dogs! The shop assistant at the pet store said they had lots of shoplifters!
Ahh..it was a bittersweet visit, as always a pleasure to spend time with you, yet a bit sad you are on your way home. BUT...I do have video evidence of the"Attack of the Beanwood Pack..." Safe journey home today.
Erm...it does put the pack in a different light... In the meantime, I have these two blurry photos, the pack luring Emily into a false sense of security... Emily and the pack by Marcus Hart, on Flickr Emily and the pack by Marcus Hart, on Flickr
