Oh nose, the horror of realising you forgot your poo bags!! It’s one of life’s unwritten rules that if you forget the poo bags, the dog will poo.
One of these days, I’m pretty sure I’m going to lose a sock to it.

I was checking poo at 4.50 am to see if it was a good consistency. I realise I have no life:D

That's a shame. We'll have to meet up soon and do this walk with Cassie.

Quick logistical question for those in the UK: how do I get change to feed the park and pay meters that are everywhere? The last batch I got from begging a parking lot attendent who was kind enough to give me coins for a 20 pound note, but those are all gone now.

Some shops will change notes. Alternatively go into a bank and they will change a note for a bag of coins.

Yes it is shame, and yes I'd love too.

I'm still checking with the breeder I'm meant to visit over the weekend, but would more people be able to come if we met up Saturday morning instead? I don't know if I can yet or not, but thought it worth asking for @selina27, @leejane and @Rosie.

I had to smile about the 'poo in the street' post @Beanwood, one of the reasons I won't take my dogs into towns, terrified that might happen and even if armed with a poo bag, I am sure there would be disapproving looks! I see (I think) that Bear had his stomach shaved, is he completely OK now?

You can usually get an app on your phone and pay with your card. That's what I do everywhere now :)

That would be heavenly. I'm so frustrated with these park and pay lots that don't take cards, I can't even tell you. Half of my short holiday in Cornwall was spent driving around and not being able to park. Grrr! On the other hand, no UK bank account or debit card will probably mean no app for me, but I will check it out!

I'll proxy for Kate here for the short version of the answer - he's cuddled up next to me on the sofa and seems quite happy! He still has to take it easy for a bit longer and is on special food, but thanks to Kate's quick action, he's on the mend. :)

    Definitely! What time?
For info, the car park is still closed to repair the 'repairs', but the temporary car park 400m down the road has been gravelled to reduce the mud.

YAY!!! Great. Will check with @Emily_BabbelHund , I think she is coming over the bridge and will need to drop Bear off at the Beanwood's on the way so probably not as early start as our usual meet-ups. Do you have any constraints?

OOooh we would so love too - but I am standby for vet visit to our horse, as my daughter is away for work, I don't know what time so I will keep an eye on here and if I can come we will!

For @Hollysdad , @Beanwood , @Naya and others who were going to join the walk on Friday, I can also meet on Saturday if that would allow more people (plus the 'originals') to come. I'm fine with sticking to Friday if this is getting too complicated, but I'll throw Saturday out there was well.

Turns out the breeder up north visit got pushed into the first part of next week, so I'm a free agent on Saturday. :)
