Greetings, all! I am new to the forums, and new to caring for a pup. We have a 5 month-old Lab pup (black) named Salem. He is from working stock and is a lovely fellow -- affectionate, smart, handsome. We've had him from the time he was about 2 months old. I am amazed at how quickly he has grown into a good-sized dog (over 20 inches at the shoulder, and between 40 and 50 lbs). I am working hard to expose him to many different experiences, and to figure out exactly what behaviours I need from him in different situations so that he learns how to be a mannerly fellow as well. I have been enjoying the forums and appreciate what others share as it helps me know what to expect or what to try. I look forward to continued forum activity. Sue55
