My lovely friend Vincent has a Welsh Fox Terrier called Ted, now he is an absconder, he has just turned a year and disappears off lead for upto 45 minutes chasing and catching Rabbits I have been with him when he has and it's worrying and I know how that feels and I don't like it I had a bit of a chat with him gently saying that this could only get worse and recall training couldn't hurt, so Vincent was over last week and I loaned him my Total Recall book with all my notes and he is training Ted, so hopefully he can nip this in the bud, I really hope so as he was too worried to let him off lead. xx
Re: Another Recruit for Total Recall I loaned my copy to a friend with a young boxer - she is thrilled about how well it worked! Amber is 100 times better now
Re: Another Recruit for Total Recall That's fab. Makes so much difference to everyone - human and canine - when a solid recall is installed
Re: Another Recruit for Total Recall So nice of you to do that Helen......I would of loved someone to offer their support when I was having problems with Harley.
Re: Another Recruit for Total Recall Well done for helping Helen , terriers can be a nightmare to train, as I know only too well
