Any recommendations for trainers?

Well after many months of trials and tribulations we are finally about to exchange contracts on a house in North Lincolnshire (I've now crossed fingers and toes in an attempt to keep bad luck away) and we should be moving over sometime at the end of the month, once logistics have been sorted. So having told Juno she is going to have to start speaking more English I'm hoping for some recommendations for trainers in the North Lincolnshire, Humberside, East Yorkshire area. I'm most interested in some gun dog training rather obedience, but think we may have to do some training classes as we aren't used to meeting lots of dogs in parks and those we do see here are normally on lead so I'm expecting a few initial problems. Also if there any forum members living in the general area we would love to meet up for walks

Sorry, can't help with a trainer, just wanted to say congratulations! I'll keep fingers and toes crossed for you. Hope all goes smoothly. ☺

Emily Thank you for the kind thoughts. I'm sort of dreading getting organised as I hate packing boxes, boxes and more boxes although I have packed quite a lot already. My OH has managed to arrange to be in the UK this week, returning on Saturday evening and then he's off to Belgium next week and returning via the UK after we've completed the purchase and arriving back just in time for the removal guys to arrive. Hmmm, now let me think who's going to be managing all the packing

I'd forgotten Phillipa was in York, although that's quite a drive. Will have to investigate options and sweet talk OH . Perhaps Juno and I can have a joint Christmas present

There's a map of positive trainers on the Positive Gundogs Facebook page. There's a lady near Thirsk and one just north of Bury. Are either of them any good?

I'm sure Juno will help you with the boxes

Thanks Barbara, I'll check on maps and the FB page in the morning.

Emily, Juno now finds packing boxes boring as we're putting things on, not taking them out. The cats are worse when they decide to try and help

Sorry I can't help with any trainers, but so glad to hear you have finally managed to exchange contracts. Fingers, toes and paws crossed it all goes well. I'm sure it will. We will have to sort out a walk together. It would be so lovely for our choccie girls to play. Mabel sends Juno huge Labrador licks and is jealous she can't help with the unpacking of boxes she is rather good at it.

A walk sounds a great idea. Juno loves choccie girls . I've got a book of walks for dogs in Lincolnshire and been looking on various websites for ideas as well so at least reasonably well prepared on that level. Now off to walk my girlie

Thanks Ternaya, just getting frustrated with the solicitors not responding to emails or phone calls so we can exchange contracts so I have a confirmed date to work towards.
