Hello, I have heavy chewers and I can’t seem to find a softer toy except a nylabone my pups won’t destroy immediately. I also can’t find a ball either. I would appreciate any help.
My dogs didn't destroy kongs - and they bounce nice and hold treats...they weren't a favorite toy, but durable. For balls - here in the US you can get chuck-it balls that are rubber - we used "whistlers" with Bella because they made noise - but they are very durable too so you could consider that. Good luck!
I have a very heavy chewer and our trainer recommended root chews, which are basically dried chunks of tree root. These have been amazing for him.
Mine has the large(not extra large) black kong that has either a piece of banana in or a smear of peanut butter. Occasionally use some of his raw food allowance and pack that in the kong and freeze it. For balls the large Chuck-it ball. Called a whistler but doesn’t really make much noise. Slightly bigger than a tennis ball and doesn’t roll under the garden furniture which is a bonus. Nor does he try to shred it. Licki mats also useful. Get one with suction pads on the back to stick to something like the fridge. Frozen marrow bones from Natures Menu although they say be careful with teeth with weight bearing bones.
I suppose they do exist, but I'm yet to come across a dog who can destroy a kong!!! And the chuck-it balls are very durable. Worth giving both a go.
Do try k9connectables. (Just Google it). Their toys are indestructible natural rubber, You can fill the individual toys with whatever you like, connect them n the dog has to deconstruct, find the bits of food and can chew the actual toys. Dishwasher safe. Total win. Love them and have lasted thru a good few lab pups.
