Ah bless him,Heidrun gave me a great bit of advice years ago,she told me to put a cone by the steps to show Dexter where to get out.I Didn't have one so I just used the mop bucket upside down , worked a treat,Mind you,my dog was quite comfortable with where the steps are as he wont jump in off the side!
