So sorry to hear this it's just awful and frightening for you and Harley. I hope you can find walks which are just as good well away from that collie and his stupid owner. I carry a tin of 'pet corrector' spray. I have never used it yet. But I think if I squirted it right in the face of an attacking dog it could put it off - it's very loud and hissy. I have to test it now and again away from my dogs to be sure it is still working. But it gives me a kind of confidence that at least I could do something.
Thank you all for your kind words. Harley has been overly cuddly since yesterday afternoon and won't leave my side. She even led her head on my tummy all night. I'm going to follow up with the dog warden on Tuesday and I am going to speak with some PCSO's that I know very well through work and see what they suggest. I'm not going to let this go easily. A one off isn't nice, but I can let it go, but twice is a no no. I'm also going to speak to some regular dog walkers over there and see if they have had issues or know the woman or her dog. I'm going to buy some corrector spray today to carry with me when it's just us. I have the next 4 days off work so am going to take Harley on some nice walks with my hubby (I always feel safer when he's with us ). Thank you all x
That is absolutely maddening. The owner, gosh I have no words. Just awful. I think the pet corrector spray sounds like the way to go. So sorry this has happened twice and hope Harley will brush it off.
