Our 8 year old lab was recently diagnosed with autoimmune polyarthritis that seemed to come on overnight. They have him on prednisone which is making him pee a great amount and often. It’s helping with the symptoms but the side effects are difficult for us and him. He’s never had an accident in the house since he was a puppy. We line the floor with pee pads. We bought a male reusable diaper but it fills so fast, you would need 10 on hand just to get through a day and even the largest ones are too small. We now tape 3 baby diapers together but it still doesn’t take long before they fill or he just gets out of them. Even the extra large diapers don’t fit him, so we’ve had to be creative. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions. We’ve tried decreasing the dose (with vet advice) but the arthritis symptoms started to return, so we had to increase it again. Lack of sleep and always having to watch him closely for a full diaper is exhausting but we would do anything for this loveable guy.

if you have suggestions on very large dogs (he has some mastiff mixed in) diapers, we would be so thankful. There’s tons of stuff online for small dogs but even the extra large stuff is too small. He weighs around 105 pounds and his waist girth is 34”.

Thanks in advance for any advice you have to offer.
