Love the new avatars people are uploading. Much clearer, beautiful dogs.

How do you adjust the avatar to be up the right way?

@Helen was it the right way up in the box?
    Do you live in Australia?
Sorry I really have no idea about that one, I think @snowbunny might have fixed someone else's on the old forum

I'm in the UK, it appeared in the box upside down? I'm not very good with technical things, maybe I'll see if I can get my son to sort it for me.

Sons are generally pretty handy in that department - I wish you luck.
It's never happened to me so I can't work out how to fix it (not that I am really that techy).......fingers crossed

Mine started off upside down, I copied my photo into a new file and suddenly it was the right way up. Don't understand why.

In general this is because the photo is "actually" upside-down, on its side or whatever, but the software that you view it with on your computer recognises that it was taken the wrong way round and so automatically rotates it for you. But, the picture file itself is actually still the way it was originally taken. So, when you upload it, it appears in its original orientation. If that makes sense :)

Thank you @snowbunny, I just plonked my self next to my son to sort it for me, only to realise you had sorted it .

Oh my Avatar has disappeared! How do we delete the alerts we have seen?

Oh I see, it doesn't appear until one posts:)

Lovely to see your avatar, @Stacia! Your red box saying you have alerts should disappear when you click on the alerts box. A list of the alerts stays in the box though. If you want fewer alerts, you can edit your settings.

Thanks @JulieT. I like alerts but don't need to keep them once read, so is there anyway of deleting the read ones? Whoops maybe I should have read my 'edit your settings' first before asking again!

What is the maximum size for the avatar? I see the message saying, "It is recommended that you use an image that is at least 200x200 pixels."

Not seeing numbers for most, or biggest size allowed.
