I think Charlie is back on track with One Man Garden Recall. Have been practicing for 3 days on a training line with chicken treats and fingers crossed all has gone well. David just returned from a 1 hour walk along the top of a field with woods on one side and Charlie was really good just a little zig zagging to get him back on track. Also he took him into the farm to get some eggs (risky so I thought!) but no, he just looked and poked his nose through the wire at the chickens and didn't make a sound or any movement just moved on when David told him. What a good boy. Hope I'm not speaking too soon!!! Tiny, tiny steps but really helps and we are very proud of him. Helen x
Re: Back on Track It doesnt matter how tiny the steps are Helen, its the direction they are taking that matters, so pleased x
Re: Back on Track Congratulations and my total respect for your amazing perseverance! It's so nice to celebrate the improvement isn't it.
Re: Back on Track That's fantastic Helen, tiny steps are the way to go. And I think you deserve a medal for your patience.
Re: Back on Track So pleased for you Helen, keep concentrating on the good things! Remember my mother's mantra - "When they are being naughty, tell yourself it's just a phase and will pass. When they are being good, believe with all your heart it's their true nature". She meant it for children; but it is equally applicable to dogs, I find! ;D
Re: Back on Track Thank you, thank you one and all, we are feeling good today and looooonnnnnngggggg may it continue PLEASE Charlie!!! Helen x
