Tonight me and barley start back at training classes after our month break from it. Interesting to see how he will be, we have been doing training together almost every night for the past 2 weeks, practising things that we do in the classes to jog his memory. He has been a bit grumpy this morning so it looks like tonight will be fun, i will be armed with lots of nice treats, but not the best asi am waiting for my easy clean treat bag to arrive so i can start using his favourite highest value treats (wing tips)
Re: Back to training Well sort of ok, he growled at 2 other dogs, but that's just barley being barley :. he was after everyones else treats but mine, they all had sausage, cheese, liver cake and really nice stuff where he was stuck with fish4dogs sea jerky tiddlers as we are keeping his waistline down and using up whatever treats i have around making room for my crufts bulk buy ;D. He has also been moved up to the top class, for the cleverest and smartest dogs, he is the only one from our current class to have been moved up, so i am pleased with that ;D, does mean that he will have his dinner a lot later, but that will just make him hungrier and want to work for the food that i have
Re: Back to training Congratulations,I know Barley probably doesn't realise he's so clever but you do and that's a great lift for you!well done x

Actually, they are Charlie's only treat. :
He has also been moved up to the top class, for the cleverest and smartest dogs
Good boy Barley!
Re: Back to training They are around barley's middle range of treats, cold do better but i could also do a lot worse, being the mean mum he says i am I made some of his favorite, bestest treats in the world treats today, cooked liver, he spent the whole time guarding the kitchen whilst the liver was in the oven, he got a few pieces to taste test and see if they were up to standard, he followed me with eager eyes when putting them in the freezer incase one of two fell out and he to be eaten, sadly his wishes did not come true, all frozen and ready fro next weeks training
Re: Back to training Not mean mum but definitely tough! Glad training is going so wonderfully for you both
Re: Back to training Congratulations on your elevation. That is really cool. A lot of people don't do any training between classes and you are living proof that hard work pays off!
