I was youtube surfing yesterday and came across quite a few really bad training videos. One was claiming to train the dog to walk on a lead in minutes. The lab was scared as the trainer was yanking the lead every few steps. The lead was really tight and short. This was filmed in a classroom setting. Another someone used some sort of spiked collar claiming other methods had failed and the dog was looking to get pts if this didn't work. It sadens me to know there are people out there looking for help with their dogs and resort to following these cruel out dated methods of training dogs. I wasn't even searching for training I was looking at a crufts video of the gundog best in class. I remember the old Barbara Woodhouse training on tv in the 70s in the UK.
