Our 3 month old loves to chew! So I got him some rawhide treats (puppy suitable ones). When I give it to him, he goes nuts! He pounces, jumps, barks, but won’t actually touch it, as if it’s alive!

it’s not a serious problem or anything, but I’m fascinated to know what’s going on in his little head?

He’s trying to say “Don’t you know these are bad for me!” Lol.
I used to give these to my lab until I realised how quickly he was getting through them and would often bring up pieces and chew them again. Labs are greedy dogs and they swallow before they have chewed properly. I have heard too many horror stories now and don’t give them. They are also often coated so it might be the smell he doesn’t like. My old lab used to do that if a pretzel(the dried snack type) fell on the floor!
