Bouncer decided to get absolutely filthy on his walk yesterday, he decided that going into the stream wasnt good enough, he had to get covered in smelly slimey mud as well.
When we got home my Wife said he needed a bath I actualy agreed for once, he smelt like a stagnent pond.

He is only allowed upstairs for a bath so as soon as I opened the door to the stairs he new what was in store & wouldnt budge. I ended up having to carry a franticly struggling 25kg puppy up the stairs & into the bathroom, then he wouldnt stay in the bath & kept jumping out. My 8 year old daughter thought this was hilarious & we both got thouroghly soaked but we managed to bath & dry him in the end.

Its weird that a dog who will happily jump into any body of water without hesitation will fight tooth & nail not to be bathed. ::)

Its still making me grin now :)

Ha ha, can just picture you struggling up the stairs with a smelly struggling dog and then Bouncer doing everything possible to avoid the bath ;D

    Lol
Until Harley jumped into MY bath last week, we have always had a struggle getting her into the bath! It is funny though

When I first got Bonnie my friend said to me, "How come a Labrador loves water but doesn't love a bath?"

I had no idea at that time how much "fun" it would be to try and keep Bonnie clean after she learnt to love the brook in our woods!! :)

We use a plastic tub in the yard and have a good old wash down. It's the most we can manage. When Bonnie showed an interest in my bath, I thought... hmmmm.... but it's never developed into a thing. She just likes to watch the water pouring into the bath. ::)

I was annoyed at the time but after I thought it was funny. :)

Charlie is another one we have to keep out of our bath upstairs. And Harry is no trouble climbing in and out of the baby bath in the garden after their walk!
