Headed to the beaches of Long Island Sound with my soon to be next month 8 month yellow lab. Riley has never been to these beaches so I'm sure it will be a new experience. We spend February in Fla., and a month in the summer either in the mountains or take short trips to the NJ shore. There is a wonderful beach for dogs in Seaside Park NJ that is dog friendly and the beach, water and surrounding dunes are breathtaking. We've been visiting that spot since Riley has been a puppy. There's also a dog park with a lake he loves in Jacksonville that we visit during the winter months. All in all Riley's not all that crazy about the water but he surprised me this past Feb. at a off leash beach on St. Simon Island in coastal GA. He just ran and ran, and splashed and splashed. I guess he does love the water. It just depends where we are.
