been for jaspers weighing, vet estimated a whopping 40 kg plus at adult size, when they said big , i didnt think he would be that big

What a big lad he is Lynne I remember when Sam was about a year old , wondering if and when he would stop growing but suddenly he did and then just filled out, seems Jasper will be about the same size as Sam, or even bigger if thats possible

es, you did say from first photos, that he was a big boy, i had a good chat with the vet, asked was he getting fat, she said no, hes just a big boy, dont seem very tall yet, i go back next month, estimated 25/26 kg. then from there i dont go back for 3 month, estimated 40 kg in 3 moths time, wow, i am in shock

Yup a real big boy and a half. They are reckoned to be full size bones-wise by about 9 months old or so and then they fill out after that until they reach adult size.

he will be 6 month at next weigh in, then the next will be at 9 month, your right 9 month as thats when she says he will be 40 kg, hes from the drakeshead family lines

Amy was 10kg on Wednesday, just in our home scales. (15 weeks)

we have him weighed at the vets every month, when we go for flee and worm treatment, he was 15 at 15 weeks, god help me,got to stop this pulling,

How is the harness working for you? I have put Amy back in hers and felt much better walking her today. Even had the boys with me and she wasn't pulling. We worried Amy is too skinny, she doesn't eat the recommend amount of her food for her age etc. Will take her to be weighed next week to too check with them.

the harness for me works well, my son prefers a lead, but then again my lads a big guy, got some new photos from today, son and grandson took him why i got some cleaning done, hey ho its back to dirty now, with the state they came back, well had 5 mins with it being clean, had o c d, befor i got jasper, he as cured that, think jasper is eating jaspers share, i think she looks fine amy, shes a beauty

I know what you mean about the mess too. And they haven't even shed the coats yet! With two young boys the walls where already stained and carpets dirty so don't mind too much.

Are the Drakeshead dogs mostly big, then? Not Poppy - those genes must have passed us by as she is is tiny (but beautiful, at least in my eyes 8)) at 24kg...

is poppy a drakeshead? , i not sure if they all big, if you go on there website, the ones they have on there are all big, the storys on here they all different sizes and weights,

I'm just entering her for our first big obedience test (the 'Begleithundpruefung') in Germany, and had to send in her pedigree and noticed a lot of Drakeshead names in there!

Does this mean we are related????
