I gave the vets a ring and they said they don’t think it’s an emergency as he’s still drinking so just to take him in tomorrow.

They’ve said to starve him until tomorrow morning and see if he’s sick through the night then and that his tummy might just be unsettled so if it resets he might feel much better.

His little world has ended with the thought of no food bless him :(

He really wants to eat grass. I’m not letting him but I don’t know if I should or not?

I really wish the vets was open today :(

The grass will make him sick. Rory always eats grass when his tummy hurts in a frenzied way. I stop him doing it. It's frightening to watch and nor his normal munch on a stem or two. You can ring the vet again and tell them what happening. If you're worried just give them a ring.

I’m so sorry. I hope it passes quickly. Maybe he has an obstruction or a foreign body in his tum. Will they X-ray him? If you press gently on his tummy, do you feel anything? Is it hard or soft? Get well soon, Stanley.

I’d be shocked if it was an obstruction. His poo’s are normal and he still hasn’t been sick that much really.

His stomach is soft and I can’t feel anything hard in it, he doesn’t seem to be in pain.

The only thing I can think of is if he’s developed an intolerance to his food or has a bug?

This dog always has something wrong with him :(

It’s good his tummy is soft. You can feel when it’s tensed up and hard, and you can only imagine the pain.

Hopefully your vet will sort him out quickly. So horrible when they’re sick and you don’t know why and feel helpless. Tell Stanley his fan club is thinking of him!

These dogs are such a worry aren’t they - they certainly put us through the wringer at times? Hope you can find out why he is being erratically sick at night.

When Axel went through his regurgitating phase for a few weeks it was because his esophagus was super irritated, so he was diagnosed with esophagitis, was given some meds to coat his esophagus and stomach and then he didn’t throw up again. Hopefully it’s something as simple as that :)

Thanks everyone :) hopefully once his tummy has settled he’ll start to feel better. He’s going to the vets first thing though, you always think the worst don’t you?

He hasn’t been sick for nearly 2 hours so hopefully he’s got everything off his tummy!

He’s still got his appetite which I’m taking as a good sign. He knows it’s tea time so OH is being stared at :D

Oh, poor Stanners! I hope he feels better soon!

Even when Willow's face was huge and lumpy this morning, she was still pestering for her breakfast! A delayed meal is a disaster. A cancelled one - well, Stanley, I'd be packing your bags!!

Yes, I was wondering if Stanley's tummy was irritated, this would make it more like to be sick during the day if he is being starved. Casper and Bear had meds to coat their tummy when they were regurgitating.

He’s still not been sick any more so I’m taking it as a good sign. He went quite quiet for a little while but he seems a bit more lively again now.

I get so upset when he’s ill, I always think if you get this upset with a dog how much must it break your heart when your kids are ill! I’ve told OH point blank that if I’m not happy with him on Friday, I’m not going on holiday. I’ll have 100’s of holidays in my lifetime but I’ll only have 1 Stanley!

I hope Stanley has a good night and that the vet visit is helpful.
