So proud of Bella, she passed her KC bronze test on Saturday :) she and a few others broke part way through the stay due to one dog barking constantly ( whilst in a stay , quite funny) luckily he was removed and they could all do it again. She's also been running on the beach in Filey and her recalls been fab and even when I don't call she runs to catch up with me, even when there's loads of dogs to play with :) we got In an argument today with a couple who clearly don't like dogs and the daughter and mum were screaming .... Just because Bella ( 10 months was wandering by them and thus getting more excited at them waving their arms and the girl crying so made it worse....ughhhhhhh) I told them next time to go on the other beach where no dogs are allowed, ruined the day tho....

Good job on the Bronze, even with distractions! Sorry your beach walk got disrupted, some times you wonder what people are thinking.....

Hi there, very well done Bella. Its a tough test particularly on the day when you have a room full of strange dogs. Meg did her bronze and silver on the same day so we were there all day. I was very surprised to see how many reactive, unsettled dogs were there. It really does make it so much harder. I guess the beaches are full all sorts of holiday kids at the moment, must be at the best pretty busy. Hang in there only 2 weeks today until the school are back and you can have the place to yourselves again. Emma and Meg, down the road in the Dales :)

Thanks everyone. Yes it wasn't easy she was quite distracted by the new dogs etc and not always looking at me or following basic instructions first time which was odd, so at one point I thought we might not pass. She's provisionally booked in for her silver next month but I might see if we can give it another month so we are definitely ready for the test situation!

Once schools go back to work so do I unfortunately ... Hopefully that was just a one off incident .. :)

Well done Bella on passing your bronze

Unfortunately some people don't understand that if they ignore the dog the dog will ignore them! Frustrating but a good training opportunity
