Ha yes she certainly is food motivated the little tinker set the house alarm off today , it took photos of her exploring with her new lease of life!!
Thanks for the update! Well done for getting her this far....not too long now and it will be a distant memory. I hope you have treated yourself with something special as well as Bella, you deserve it!
Well, we are almost there...almost!!! X Rays came back good, healing nicely and all present and correct. We have started introducing speed and hills and seeing the physio tomorrow re next steps /off lead etc. The worst thing to have happened so far was Bella crying ALL NIGHT post her x rays on Thursday - it was the anaesthetic wearing off, but it was truly awful. I slept downstairs with her but she didn't know what she wanted, up and down ,wandering around, non stop crying unless I hugged her really tightly then she stopped for a few minutes at a time, it was torture and very upsetting. Her heart was also beating really fast, scared me to death!!! Luckily 24 hrs later she's back to normal and doing well. I just hope she doesn't have to go under again for a VERY LONG TIME!!! fingers and paws crossed everyone!! Now I just need to start worrying about recall off lead and this jumping up at people and bikes behaviour she has decided to start doing.........
my tiny little lab sounds like a werewolf when shes had an op. Shes starts howling when she comes too then for the few hours. its awesome the vet nurses just roll their eyes when I ask how long has she been howling then? She needs cuddles and I sleep with them like you. I hope Bella improves and doesn't need any more ops. hugs form me and all my dogs
Aw, bless her, but good to hear that all is healing - that really is the main thing! Best wishes to you both. Nearly there....
So good to hear that the x-ray results are so good. Juno has always been fine with GA but when she had just a light sedative for her elbow x-rays she whimpered and cried for hours. Luckily enough she didn't need any sedation for her x-rays 8 weeks after her op, she just laid down and kept still while they took the x-rays, well once the vet had switched to an english cue
