The vet said not to let him outside until his vaccines are done, just in case. And then he got the mange which made me even more paranoid. He hasn't been outside the house but we do play and run around the house, the garage, and the patio. I totally agree he needs to socialize and have another dog, a guard dog but he doesn't want to play with him. Do you really think it's safe to bring him outside? Sorry. I'm really just paranoid and overprotective and my best friends chihuahua died of parvo even if he's had all his shots. I've never had a puppy before. We've had dogs but they weren't really mine.

I'm not quite sure I understand this thing about Bentley being an 'indoor puppy' - are his vaccinations finished now? Is it your intention never to take him outside the house even so?

Puppies teeth at different times and sometimes more than once as different teeth come in. Mine were full into teething at 15 weeks. I gave them those white rope bones, thoroughly soaked, wrung out, then frozen to chew on. The cold soothes sore gums. The bones turned RED from blood. Some puppies get horrible bad breath. It lasted about three weeks for both of mine, the worst of it. Many go again around 7 months, not as heavy, when back molars come in.

A good dog/puppy book would tell you many of these things so you could be prepared ahead of time. Have you looked at Pippa's book?

He's completed his vaccines. We play indoors. I live in the city and there's not a lot of yard space but the inside space is okay. There's room to run around. I do want to take him outside but probably not in this neighborhood. Lots of cars and stray cats and neighbors making their dogs poop outside and just leaving it. I could probably take him somewhere pet-friendly but it requires commute. But we are moving to the country soon. He'll have lots of grass and space to run around then. :)

I haven't yet but I've been reading articles on the Labradorsite. It sounds fabulous, though. I'll check it out.

Hi Kat. I just joined this group because I saw your original question you posted about the folded ears from wearing the cone. My Lab Magnus that is now 14 Weeks old has had the cone on for three weeks due to a hotspot that the vet wanted to prevent him from biting. I am so worried that his ears will not go back Either. I am very curious if your baby’s ears ever settled back down and laid flat the way in normal labs should?
