Hello and sorry in advance if this isn't the correct spot for this thread.

Milo is having a rough time with fleas, he takes his Trifexis and medicated baths. I wash his bedding 3 times a week and the problem is still on-going from what I imagine is fleas inside my apartment. After about a week of research I'm still stuck on which product to buy for a flea spray around the house to make sure everything inside is dead along with eggs. Does anyone happen to have a suggestion or maybe a product that worked well for you. Due to the overwhelming amount of products and reading countless reviews I'm not sure which one actually works effectively.

I only see bites stomach, armpits, and 'flea dirt' (Looks like very small black dots covering his groin area.) I haven't seen a physical flea on him which leads me to believe the problem is fleas being inside. I'm not entirely sure if that is indeed the problem, hoping everyone can share some insight.

Sorry for the large amount of text, and thank you very much from the both of us for reading.

Hi smile go to your vet and get something for you home as well as your dog. Over the counter ones don't work.

Our vet gave us "staykill" and it worked after we had spent a fortune on products from the pet store. Amazon does it as well. Good luck

Hi @smilo, I have had problems with fleas with my cat, following advice from my vet I used Indorex to spray the areas where she sleeps tp prevent reinfestation. Apparently you cannot kill the eggs or pupa but only when they hatch, which they do when disturbed, so hoover or plump up bedding etc and then spray the area. I did that consistently for a few weeks, and used Bravecto on her. It must have been effective because she hasn't been bothered through the summer.
Have you spoken to your vet? It might be worth it as they can get something called flea contact dermatitis.

We've been to the vet over 10 times for this issue over Milo's two years. The only thing they did flea prevention wise is change his Trifexis to Simparica. Thank you for the suggestion I will ask about it when I take him in on friday.

Staykill would be my recommendation as well, we got an awful flea problem from my pups playmates that was finally cleared up by that. Semi-related, but have any of you had experience with allergies in your pets? I've had problems with my boys allergies this summer especially and was wondering if you guys had anything to add to my list. I've tried a couple of the remedies here but am always open to suggestions!
