Blake has been with us now for 6 weeks, so time now to start looking for his forever home. He will be advertised in the next few days.... He has his own facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Blakes-Page-1010707088985497/ Some photos taken earlier, he really is starting to bloom! Not sure though about his moulting...the dark clothes I now wear don't quite work with a yellow lab! Sorry for all the photos! I just love that picture of Marcus LLWing with Casper and Blake. It's always hard to tell in pictures, but his condition looks a whole lot better now. Well done, you two.
What wonderful photos, you both have worked so hard. Blake is full of life and looks so happy. Anyone would be lucky to have him.
I think his moult is helping, all that dry, rough fur is falling out and soft fur in growing in...his eyes are shiny and I swear he is developing a sense of humour!
Beautiful photos. I'm sure he will be snapped up by some lucky family, I just wish I was back in the UK. I'm sure Juno would love a friend
Really mixed feelings here...we are both feeling sad...we have had Blake for 7 weeks and soon it will be time to pack his doggy bag.. Here is his advert.. http://www.pets4homes.co.uk/classifieds/1124797-blake-15-2-year-old-labrador-bristol.html Blake also has his own facebook page, following his journey.. https://www.facebook.com/Blakes-Page-1010707088985497/
Think he is one boy who is going to take a piece of your heart with him . You have done a fantastic job with him in the 7 weeks he's been with you. He is going to make someone a wonderful companion.
There is no way I could part from him I would be so scared that his new home wouldn't be as good as the home you have given him. In the video and photos he seems so attached to you. Sorry, I am too much of a softy.
Oh Kate, you and Marcus have done wonders with Blake, how will you ever part with him If I didn't already have two dogs I would be on the motorway now to bring him home with me. xxx
It really is going to be difficult, he looks and acts like a different dog now, his old coat is moulting out and being replaced by a beautiful soft one. He is a sensitive dog too. Blake loves to curl up on my lap and lick my face, but only for a few minutes at a time. Almost like he thinks he shouldn't. On walks he is wonderful, I can take him out in the dark, and know he will be always be there by my side.
Oh Kate, that is sad - but also joyful, you've helped this boy so much. I'm sure he will find a loving, loving, wonderful home. Just make sure they like Blake kisses otherwise they are not good enough for him!
So bitter-sweet. I so hope you get to stay in contact with him in his new home. He'll be forever in your hearts x
I know you will make sure that he goes to wonderful people and then you have space when another furry one in need comes along. You've all ( humans and dogs) been a great support team to Blake .....I'm sad thinking of him leaving you ,I hope we don 't lose touch with him x
Some really great news. We had a lovely couple come and visit Blake. They loved him. They really can offer him the best home, in the most idyllic situation. Couldn't have wished for a more perfect home. Just waiting on the home check, and if all goes well he will be going in around 2 weeks. Here he is...checking out his facebook page!
