Hi Lori, welcome to the forum Rapid-onset stomach bloating can be caused by gastric dilatation volvulus (also known as GDV, or bloat), which is fatal without urgent veterinary treatment. Please call your veterinarian immediately if the bloating has started quite suddenly. If it's been a long term problem, your veterinarian is also best placed to identify what is triggering it, and how to manage it. Good luck, let us know how you get on!
