Hello guys, my puppy Alex ate a piece of rubber day before yesterday from my flip flops of about 3-4 centimeters. It was quite thick rubber. He was okay for 2 days, but he today vomited once and his poop is like really really loose and yellow. He constantly barking and whimpering. At the same time, he is eating sleeping and playing normally. I don't know what to do. Help please ? I don't think now I can induce vomiting since it already has been 2-3 days
Re: Blockage, please help ! Take him to the vet immediately. If he has a blockage it needs attending as soon as possible. The whimpering is not a good sign.
Re: Blockage, please help ! You need to get him to a vet right away. Immediately. It might be absolutely fine, but it's not worth the risk of waiting to find out. Hope everything is ok!

Is there any way in which I can make the situation better for him from my house ?
Re: Blockage, please help ! Have you explained to them that there's the possibility of an intestinal blockage?
Re: Blockage, please help ! A blockage should be an emergency appointment. Do call them again. Best of luck!

Re: Blockage, please help ! Oh well done Rhea! Sometimes you just have to push for an emergency appointment. Hopefully it will all be nothing to worry about, but you are doing the right thing getting it checked. Pongo loves chewing his dad's old pair of Croc clogs too. He doesn't usually swallow anything, but I'm always on the look-out for what comes out the other end... All fingers (and paws) crossed for you here. Good luck, and let us know how it goes! Rosie and Pongo
Re: Blockage, please help ! Well done for pushing, Rhea. It's always better to be safe (and a few quid poorer) than sorry. Hoping for you that it's absolutely nothing and, if it is, sorry to have possibly scared you. Something like this is absolutely imperative to have checked out ASAP, though. Everything crossed for you both x
Re: Blockage, please help ! Please let us know how Alex makes out? So sorry you both have to go through this but they do chew and swallow so many things and, usually, whatever it is comes out one way or the other but, as everyone says, the whimpering is worrisome. Thinking of you!
