As a few of you might have guessed we have a new puppy...all to ourselves! We have loved fostering, and we have worked out we have had 3 dogs more or less since last May. Each and every one of them has been a wrench, especially the last two. We have been planning now for a third for a while, and an opportunity arose which we couldn't refuse, many due to her breeding...and also critically timing, Looking at waiting lists, most were a year or so, so this made it hard to plan into our lives. Puppies in in the initial month are time-consuming! So we travelled up to Cumbria to collect Bramble, a black labrador pup, a gorgeous wee thing and perfect for us in every way. The breeder was so welcoming, helpful and just darned nice people. We saw the dam Molly, and chatted about the sire, we had seen photos and he is just down the road, we were offered the opportunity to meet him, but didn't feel we needed too. Despite a very, very long journey back little Bramble was a star, slept most of the way. Bit if a disturbed night on the whole, but to be expected. Benson and Casper have been marvellous, even when she dragged Benson's kong into her crate! Anyhow, more photos later...
Aw welcome, welcome Bramble to the world and the forum! Any photo's Kate pllleeeaaassee Lots of luck and hugs from us, enjoy your new puppy. xxx
How exciting! I got Lochan from a breeder in Cumbria, lovely people, unbelievably high standards of health testing I wonder if it is the same place? Just outside Kendal up a long farm track, the satnav was completely confused..... Looking forward to photos and watching her grow up.
I don't know, certainly up a farm track, and could never find it again! At one point we had to stop thinking no-one could possibly live up there. She a working line black labrador though, so a bit different from what I am used too!
