    In France you could try

    http://www.chiens-de-france.com

    and also

    http://www.les-labradors.fr/.

    or even

    http://www.leboncoin.fr/

Many French breeders do not have websites or very basic sites and will only usually speak French. Many do not publish health results on their sites. In France breeders have to have their dogs eye tested, elbow and hip x-rays before they are used for breeding. Puppies only receive their full LOF (pedigree) registration at 15 months.

I'm in France, with a French breed pup, is there some specific information you need? Prices vary from around 500euros upwards, and as to whether both parents are fully registered. Happy to help with information if I can. Can you be more specific on the department of France you are interested in as "France" provides a very wide search.

Hi there thank you for your response. I am going to be in France at the end of March to April 5. I am hoping to buy a male lab that I could potentially breed with my Alice. I am flexible in where I am in France however I fly in with my daughter To Florence March 26 and will be touring around a bit then eventually getting to Paris to fly home.

Oh wow, that complicates things s bit depending upon where"home" is. You would need to find a breeder who would keep a suitable pup to 13 weeks of age when he could receive his Rabies vaccination for his pet passport and it is then a minimum of 21 days before he can travel - all this is to the UK from France other countries may well have different requirements that you need to research together with requirements from airlines
How do you plan to find a suitable pup for breeding as most breeders here provide little or no information on their dogs parentage and it is very difficult to find the information, I know from my own experience researching Juno's lines. Also a puppy suitable for a stud will cost considerably more
I hope the above helps a little.

Oh it doesn't need to be France. It could be anywhere in Italy, Switzerland, Germany or France.

With such a range of potential countries you need to check rules for transporting dogs across borders and airline rules for flights etc. If you wish to collect a pup in any of these countries and to travel to the UK you also have the 13 week minimum age for the rabies vaccination plus 21 days before travel.

Hello and welcome. The EU rules now state that crossing ANY border with a puppy is illegal before the pup has had his rabies vaccination, and the 21-day waiting period after that. Some countries are a little more flexible than others, but be aware of the legal ramifications.

If you are looking in Germany, the two biggest and most reputable clubs are the Labrador Club Deutschland, and the Deutsche Retriever Club. Both post upcoming litters; and they are very stringent regarding health requirements for the parent dogs, so you can be sure all the necessary health checks will have been done.
