Not a Labrador but my daughter's beautiful, magestic, funny, loving greyhound was put to sleep yesterday. Only 8 years old - my daughter got him at 4 when he was retired from racing - they gave him a lovely home and a lovely life. IMG_0221.JPG She feels she didn't have him for long enough. We all loved him so so much. He will be so missed. All very upset right now.

So very sad, I am sorry. He looks such a lovely dog, kind expression; at least. he knew 4 happy years with your daughter, but parting from them is so painful and that he was only 8. I lost a dog aged just 8 years and it seemed he was far too young to die.

Very sorry to hear this and for your loss. 8 years old is very young for a greyhound. He looks like he was a lovely fellow - very handsome and dapper in his little bow tie.

Thank you for your lovely replies. We are just devastated that he has gone. He was the most gentle lovely boy. Was due to have him in August - he stays with us every year - can't believe right now that isn't going to happen. He will be missed so badly.
