    Hi Bud! ;D

I have no idea where the animals live now...as my mommy(not a mummy) says our house was built a long long time ago. There aren't any branches or leaves left either. There's only ONE place in our whole house where you can see the logs on the inside...for some reason the hoomans put white walls over the top...they must not have like to see logs on the inside...I don't know. :-\

Squeeky toys are the BEST Bud...you just have to be gentle with them sometimes. Mommy and daddy both tell me to "be nice and don't wreck it" if I get too crazy. I play the wrestle game too...especially now as my teeth hurt a lot. I've even had my teeth fall out of my mouth!!!!   Daddy is obsessed with checking my mouth and wiggling my teeth....it feels funny and I wiggle a lot....but he still does it. Does your daddy do that too?

I got to see the good doktor Nancy today again. She is so fun!!! Today she and nurse Becky got on the floor and wrestled with me!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D It was great fun....Mommy says she took my tickly stitches out....but I'm pretty sure she was just wrestling. ;D ;D I got biscuits after the wrestle game while mommy talked to her about some new food I'm going to get. I guess everything is good...so then mommy and I got back in her car and drove to COLLIJ.

I have so many hooman friends at Collij. Do you get to go to collij or werk with your Mummy (see...I'm learning the way you speak! 8) 8) )and Daddy in the Yewkay? I usually spend my day with daddy at werk and chew up the cardboard boxes....but today was SPESHUL so I came back to collij with mommy. I'm kind of tired now though...after all the excitement....so I think I'll snooze until it's time to go home with mommy again.

Thank you for being my new friend, and for introducing me to Pongo, Shadow, Willow, and Rolo! Hopefully I'll meet some more of your friends soon too.

    Bella

    Hi Bud and everyone,

It sounds as if you've all been having lots of fun. Squeaky toys, duck poo ... all the things I love. Wispa and I have pink rockets that we love chasing in the garden. They used to whistle, but they don't anymore. I love charging round with mine, but Wispa always drops hers nicely and waits for it to be thrown again. If I'm really lucky I can grab hers too and then she has to chase me to get it back. I do drop mine, though, when we play hide and seek. Mummy shuts us behind the little gate, makes us sit and wait, then hides the rockets and we have to find them again. Sometimes I manage to grab both!

We've been 'in the dog house', though. When mummy was clearing the garden and doing the bins she opened the little gate to the lawn so we could have a play on our own. Well, we dashed off ... and I thought I could just see a fox making its way through the fence onto our wooded bank at the end of the garden, so I found the little hole through the wire and brambles and squeezed through ... followed by Wispa. Mummy didn't notice, so when she came to look for us she couldn't find us anywhere. I could hear her calling and getting cross, so I slunk back to the little hole and squeezed back through, waiting for my treat for chasing away the fox. I didn't get one, though ... Mummy was still trying to find Wispa, but when she came back to the little hole she couldn't get through and she didn't want to move along the fence to Mummy because there were too many brambles, so she just stood there looking for help. Mummy had to pull the wire away from the side of the old pony shelter and persuade Wispa to crawl through. We both had to go straight back indoors and I could hear, "Don't you ever do that again!" "Can't I trust you two for five minutes?" Then, worst of all, "You needn't think you're getting any treats!" Oh dear, I was very sad. We did get our supper, though.

Well, have a lovely day everyone. I'm going to try out my 'best behaviour' ... But I can't help blaming the foxes ...

    Hi there Bella,

How strange that humans try to hide the natural wood. If we lived in a house made of trees i would like to be able to see the wood where ever i roamed. I think my mum and dad would also prefer the natural material. I hope all the birds and animals found new homes. It wouldn't be very nice if their tree homes were destroyed and they had nowhere to shelter from the cold and damp.

I think most of my teeth have fallen out now as i have much stronger and sharper teeth in my mouth. Dad never wiggled my teeth though like yours Bella. Mine simply dropped out without help, except one occasion when one fell out after a game of tug. My new teeth make it easier for me to remove the squeak from toys, and unravel rope balls with a lot more ease. Dad doesn't think this is "playing" with my toys. He calls it 'wanton destruction,' whatever that is. Basically i need to try and be more gentle, like i am when licking mum and dad, and offering my paw before treats and meals. Sometimes though i just go crazy, crazy mad with excitement and lose myself in my play.

I am wondering if your doctor Nancy is the same as my vet man Simon? I like Simon as he always has time to give me tummy rubs, even when i pounce on him and make him release a funny noise ;D New food you say? I like FOOOOOOOOOOOOD!! Dad says if he placed all of my food within reach i would scoff the lot -and then wish i hadn't. I don't know why i would wish not to have eaten my food because i just love eating, and don't think i eat enough. (Mum and dad disagree.) How come they can eat whenever they want, as much as they want, and whatever they want, and yet i have strict mealtimes, and quantities, with treats through the day? How fair is this? :)

I don't get to go to work with my mum as she is not allowed to have me at her workplace. She works in something called Retail, and apparently i would be a distraction and it would be unhygienic for me to be wandering around. Dad jokes sometimes that i should sneak in with mum and sit on her lap when she is in a seated position, and greet all the customers in my usual, bouncy and friendly fashion. The reality is that this would not be a wise suggestion. So, whilst mum is out at work, i get to stay with dad who is not able to go out and work for reasons i think my friends and their parents are aware. I actually think dad works really hard, and should rest more, but he doesn't like to appear lazy when mum is working hard. So i get to see him do lots of things around the house, and in the garden. We get to cuddle up on the sofa, and we get to play, and he takes me out on my walks, and feeds me, so i have plenty of fun and never get bored. And when mum gets home i go crazy mental mad with excitement, and then just as quickly fall asleep again!

It is a pleasure being your friend Bella. We are all like an extended family here and everyone is so friendly. Look out for Tuppence and Wispa. Tuppence tends to get up to mischief quite a bit, bless her, but she is adorable. And Wispa is a calm and wise friend who is very tolerant with naughty dogs. We all try our best to keep in touch as much as we can, but there is a lot going on in all of our lives, so there can be stretches of time with no contact. This just makes it even more exciting when one of us sneaks onto the tappy box and lets out a loud greeting of hello.

For now i will say bye bye. Keep safe and happy.

    Bud

    Tuppence my friend, hello.

Oh dear, oh dear , oh dear (sigh). In trouble again, and Wispa too. Did you really need to chase after that fox? You know Wispa will follow you much of the time as she is protective, and also wants to try and keep you out of trouble (not that this is easy.) :) Did you really think you would get a treat for escaping the garden? Well, a huge gold star to you for the positive thinking my friend.I think i can understand your mum's fury and frustration because if i found a way to escape our garden, it would cause a lot of worry initially, and then i know i would be told that was a naughty thing to do. Your mum would have been worried at first, and relieved when she saw your little guilty face back at the hole. But then you did misbehave and can't receive treats for naughtiness. All must be forgiven now though because you had your supper, and hopefully a new day has brought with it a more well behaved Tuppence.

We have a clear blue sky today, a bright sun shining, and a little of it is beginning to sneak over our back fence. Dad says in a few weeks we should be basking in warm sunshine in the garden itself. Can't wait. The ground is hard with this frost stuff, so i can't sneak any mouthfuls of grass, or soil, but is is a lovely refreshing day for running around and stretching my legs. I hope your day is equally as welcoming for you and Wispa.

Stay safe and well Tuppence. We'll catch up again soon.

    Bud

    Hello everyone!

As I was snoozing last night on the sofa - waiting out that looooooooooooooooongggggggg period every day when mum and dad go up those stairs when it is dark - I was thinking how great it is to be able to chat to all my friends on the tappy thing. It's good to be able to talk about the world from my very own puppy point of view! And I thought I'd just pop in here this morning to say THANK YOU to Bud for starting off this place we can chat.

    Good on you, Bud!

    Hey Pongo,

A very humbled dad has said i must come on again after reading your words. I agree.

I have that same feeling now because i no longer go up those stairs into the sleeping room belonging to mum and dad. I sleep comfortably near the front door, guarding our home :)

Thank you so very much my friend for your kind words. I am really pleased that i created this place too as i get so much enjoyment talking with you and all my other friends. I was never sure if any of you would embrace this opportunity to share your own voices, but i am so glad that i made the decision. Long may we continue to share our adventures.

    Hi Bud

My people have been talking about HOLLYDAYS. From what I understand they sound similar to VAYCAYSHUNS. They have found a dogfriendly cottage near a dogfriendly pub in a place with lots of hills and streams and lakes. I love long walks with my people - sniffs and swims and mud and trees and poo! And I love pubs because everyone says I'm cute and well behaved and slips me food.

A whole week of walks and pubs with my people. It's all so exciting!

    Hello Holly,

Wow....this is the sort of holiday i think my mum and dad would like to take because they would not want to leave me behind. I really like the sound of hills and streams. The longer the walk the better, and anything that excites my sense of smell is fantastic. Good to hear from you.

    Hi Holly
You are so lucky to have special Hollydays just for you! I wonder if I could persuade any one to give me some Pongodays?

Well, if getting attention every day, being walked and cuddled and played with and generally not being left alone for too long is classed as a Budday then i guess i get them every day.

But if you are referring to your clever take on holidays then sadly such a holiday is yet to come around. I think we are having what will be classed as BUDDAYS OUT when we get into the warmer months (and one is happening i think next week) :) These days will be exploring days where i will be taken to new locations where i can run and walk and chase and sniff and even sneakily taste lots of new things.

I wonder if there's a tree district or a mud district? A tree district would be a great place for Hollydays.

We live in the snow district I think, Holly! Although Mummy says that when the summer comes, the snow all disappears and everything goes green. WE also have LOTS of trees so maybe it's the tree district, too? And we've already seen pictures of some of the lakes we're going to swim in. AAAAAAnd Mummy says there's things called NATRALSPRINGS all over the mountains which make it lovely and muddy even when it's hot and sunny. I think we're going to enjoy summertime here!!!!

Mummy is laughing and saying that when I'm bigger, walks with me are going to be really slow with all the trees around. She thinks I'll have to stop at every single one. I don't know what she means, though. I like trees and I like to search underneath them for pine cones, but once I have my cone, I'm quite happy to walk past all the others!

Gosh, Shadow. We had snow when I was very small. I went to bed and my garden was there. When I woke up someone had stolen it and there was all this cold white stuff instead. It was very confusing!

It's SO MUCH FUN, though!!!! Bouncing around in it, running up and down the hills it makes where there weren't hills before, jumping into big, deep piles of it that go over my head, digging deep holes .... I LOVE IT!!!!!

Oh, and I nearly forgot - SNOWBALLS!!!!!!
